Jesus is the only name by which we may be saved
This article describes how the name of Jesus in the Bible was selectively translated and replaced by the names Joshua and Jeshua/Yeshua/Ieshua etc. in modern Bible translations.

Ἰησοῦς
pronounced Iésous is the Greek word for Jesus. In Hebrews chapter 4 verse 8   you can read that Jesus  not Joshua  lead the Israelites into the promised land.

Hebrews 4 : 8 - Εἰ γὰρ αὐτοὺς Ἰησοῦς  κατέπαυσεν, οὐκ ἂν περὶ ἄλλης ἐλάλει μετὰ ταῦτα ἡμέρας.

Notice how this verse from Hebrews is translated differently:

- For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day. (KJV) (Correct translation)

- If Joshua had given them rest, God would not have spoken later about another day. (NIV) (Incorrect translation)
