Are the cells of aborted babies used in the manufacture of vaccines?

Logo National Institutes of Health

Yes, they are listed as WI-38, MRC-5, HEK293 and PERC.6 in the Vaccine Excipient list of the Centre of Disease Control (CDC) of the US government.

The newest cell line created in 2015 for vaccines is called Walvax-2. This cell line was especially made for the mass production of vaccines from the lung tissue of a baby girl of 3 months aborted by doctors in China.

This is an article on the website of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) of the US government that describes how doctors in China made Walvax-2 from the lungs of a 3 month old baby.

Because the WHO recommends fetal cell lines as the safest cell substrates for the production of viral vaccines the cells of aborted babies have become “the preferred medium for vaccine production worldwide”.  This also applies to COVID-19 vaccines including: Pfizer, Moderna, Astra Zeneca etc.

Can childhood vaccines contain traces of human lung tissue? Yes.

The National Immunisation Programme of the Dutch government is a list of all the vaccines that are given to children in the Netherlands. In this programme the MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccine  is M-M-RvaxPro. In this article we examine how this  M-M-RvaxPro vaccine   is made, using  the WI-38 cell line. This cell line was made from the lung tissue of a female embryo who was aborted after 16 weeks of age.  We also describe the abortion procedures necessary to obtain the live human tissue 'medical scientists' use in their cell lines.

What cell lines derived from aborted babies were used in the development of COVID-19 vaccines?

In this article we look at the most important cell lines and how they were used in the development of the most important COVID-19 vaccines on the market today. We also examine how government is involved in supplying universities and companies with human fetal cells.

Names and descriptions of the cell lines found in the lists above

  • WI-38 is a diploid human cell culture line composed of fibroblasts derived from the lung tissue of an aborted female fetus.
  • MRC-5 (Medical Research Council cell strain 5) is a diploid human cell culture line composed of fibroblasts derived from the lung tissue of a 14-week-old aborted male fetus.
  • HEK 293, Human Embryonic Kidney cells 293, also often referred to as HEK-293, 293 cells, or less precisely as HEK cells, are a specific cell line originally derived from the kidney tissue of an aborted fetus grown in a tissue culture.
  • PERC.6 is a cell line derived from human embryonic retinal cells taken from an 18 week old fetus.
